James Barlow Named CEO of the Year by Cedar City Chamber of Commerce
BZI and its leadership keep rolling in the accolades.
Cedar City Chamber of Commerce recently announced James Barlow has been named CEO of the Year as part of its “Best of Cedar City” Awards. This is the second consecutive year BZI has been recognized by the Chamber. BZI was named Business of the Year in 2023. The awards will be celebrated with 14 other honorees at the 75th anniversary gala on March 27, 2025 at Southern Utah University. BZI
“I and the BZI team hold strong and close connections with Cedar City businesses and local neighborhoods,” said James Barlow, CEO of BZI. “To be recognized by our own community is especially meaningful and rewarding. I look forward to applauding and celebrating with the other Best of Cedar City recipients.”
Barlow is a recognized leader in the steel and construction industries, serves on the Forbes Business Council and is a recipient of the prestigious and national Malcolm Baldrige Award.
Under Barlow’s leadership, the company has experienced significant growth and received numerous awards for its distinguished performance and contributions to its industries, including: USA Today National named BZI a Top Workplaces in 2023 and 2024. Salt Lake Tribune also recognized the company’s positive culture with Top Workplaces in Utah for two consecutive years, and the company is listed as Utah Business Fast 50 (#12 ranking). BZI was the recipient of the Rural Investor Award from the Utah Inland Port Authority at the One Utah Summit in 2023 and the Rural Rockstar Award in 2024.
